Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Maryland, Hunters Oak Golf Club is a hidden gem for golf enthusiasts seeking a tranquil and challenging course.

Spread across sprawling acres, the property offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and expertly designed golf holes. With its rolling fairways, strategically placed hazards, and meticulously maintained greens, Hunters Oak Golf Club provides a memorable journey through its stunning course.

Doug owned and operated the Hunters Oak golf course from 1999-2009. During this time, it hosted two LPGA Futures Tour Golf Tournaments, hosted governors and global heads of state and hosted a number of charity events.

/ What I loved about building this course

Each day, the architect from Hunter's Oak would draw charcoal sketches of a new hole. We would build and shape the holes as he drew them. Once grassed, we'd go out in the late afternoon when the shadows of all the mounding we'd shaped came alive. I was honored when this course was featured on the cover of Washington Golf Monthly Magazine.
